Welcome to the Physical Activity and Nourishing Healthy Eaters Learning Sessions for educators and providers, working in Early Care and Education settings, also referred to as ECE. The learning sessions highlight best practices for supporting physical activity and healthy eating opportunities for children in order to improve academic performance, attendance, behavior and life-long health and well-being.  The Physical Activity and Nourishing Healthy Eaters Learning Sessions for Early Care and Education Settings, are part of the New York State Creating Healthy Schools and Communities Initiative. The Student Support Services Center at the Genesee Valley BOCES, is a grant recipient of this initiative. Funding for the learning sessions, was made possible, (in part), by the state of New York. The views expressed in written materials or publications, and by speakers and moderators, do not necessarily reflect the official policies of the State.  The learning sessions are asynchronous and are approximately two and half hours in length.  The sessions include opportunities for personalized learning and application which may lengthen the time it takes to complete all of the learning sessions.
